Assembling a strong team is rather simple by enhancing each character and by using ones who can give you an advantage in battle. Moreover, there is a stamina mechanic which limits your play time, so be sure to pick your fights and make every effort to win each of them. Elemental weaknesses are part of the game and playing to your strengths and weaknesses is a must to succeed. There are five types: dark, wind, light, fire and water.

To top it all off, the characters are fully voiced, both in the battle parts and the cutscenes. It feels as if you’re watching a series instead of playing a game which adds to the immersion.
Overall, Tales of Erin might look like a typical RPG, but it’s more than that. It is a beautifully-made RPG with a story worth undertaking, along with a decent cast of characters.
