Welcome to a MOBA full of characters from the games of Blizzard. You can be Tychus from Starcraft, Tyrande from World of Warcraft, or Tyrael from Diablo. Each game has several characters represented and they all enter the nexus to battle. Join this fast paced action with your favorite character and enjoy amazing gameplay and thrilling combat.
The character that you choose falls into one of 4 categories, each with a unique role within a battleground. You can pick a Warrior, Specialist, Support or Assassin and this determines the kind of gameplay you can expect. However with every character you can get involved in the combat. A Warrior is designed to be in the front lines, they have a lot of hitpoints and often control or aoe abilities.
The Specialists are exactly that, they focus on a particular area and become very good at it, for example destroying buildings or toughening up mercenaries. Support characters are the backbone of a group, often with healing or control skills they are a vital part of combat at keeping players alive. Finally you have the Assassins, slightly weaker than others but with a high damage output they are designed to be the killers of the game.
There are also several game modes you can pick from against either AI opponents or other players There are also ranked leagues so you can see how you compare to the rest of the the world. In each game you will be part of a 5 man team drawn from random players or pre made and then you enter one of 7 different battlegrounds.
Each battleground has 2 or 3 lanes and a special set of rules that will give the teams an advantage or edge in each battle. From summoning a huge bone golem to controlling pillars of power that destroy enemy buildings these different areas are great to play through. The aim of the game is to destroy your opponents shrine before they can get yours.
Between you and the shrine there are waves of minions, towers and gates that you have to destroy and powerful enemy forts to remove. To aid you throughout the maps are mercenaries that you can recruit to your side and help you push to your objectives. And of course there is the enemy team to worry about too.
Each character has a set of 3 basic skills, and then a choice between 2 more powerful skills that you earn during the battle. Every few levels you will gain a talent, this will enhance one of your basic skills and at level 10 you open up your heroic ability. These choices are important as they set the tone for what you do, and how effective at the role you have chosen you are, there is no right or wrong answer though there are optimum builds for each role you want to play.
With a stunning look and brilliant animations Heroes of the Storm feels really good to play. The fast paced action and team building speed make this game pretty accessible and quick to play while keeping a lot of depth and variety.
Whether you are new to the MOBA style or an old hand there is something exciting about this game that really gets you involved and wanting to play more. Though still in the Beta phase Heroes of the Storm feels polished and is immense fun when you get going. Heroes of the Storm Resumen
