Angel Alliance is a browser based MMORPG by Kabam that takes place in Etheria which is a world that has been plagued by darkness as the dark lord has imprisoned all angels. Your role in the world is to defeat the dark guardians and bring back Etheria to the peaceful state it was once in.
Setting out in the world of Etheria you’ll be greeted initially with what class you’d like to pick. While there may not be a variety of classes to choose from, we still fortunately have the traditional and necessary classes of Archer, Mage and Warrior included in the game so it feels fine despite there not being a lot of classes included.
Going into the actual game you’ll start off your journey with a small tutorial that will show you the ropes of Angel Alliance. You will be greeted early on with multiple dialogue boxes filled with information on how you’re supposed to play the game out, you can of course choose to banish these altogether but it’s recommended that you read this information at least once.
Early on, Angel Alliance is quite forgiving to new players. Every starting out player is given gear like the training helm and the training weapon which have nice stats to help you out. All of your equipment can be upgraded through the use of runes that are basically embedded into your equipment to increase the stats.
There is a solid variety of runes to choose from as some increase HP while others can increase attack and other stats and the choice of runes completely boils down to you as there is no restriction to what rune you can place on a piece of equipment.
The gameplay of Angel Alliance feels pretty quick, you use the traditional point and click mechanisms to guide your character through the world and on top of this you can even use the given auto-pathing feature to take your character to your point of interest. Combat feels smooth and pretty fast paced for a turn based MMORPG and it is quite addictive to theory-craft all the possible strategies you can utilize in your duels.
Speaking in terms of graphics, Angel Alliance might seem dull at the start because the game world isn’t as brightly detailed as you’d hope but this is quickly overlooked when you get into fights as all the animations look incredibly fluid.
Angel Alliance also features a cash shop where you can purchase premium items using Kabam points that are acquired through real world money or by completing specified tasks in the game. Luckily these premium items don’t disturb the power balance of the game so they are completely optional.
