Heavy Metal Machines
Pick your character and vehicle as you enter the arena to smash your opponents.
Customize your set up and gear to suit your playstyle.
Battle against other players all over the world in this brilliant new MOBA.
The MOBA genre has given some amazing games that offer fast paced and intense matches between players and this genre has only developed further over the years. Heavy Metal Machines is a game that takes things a step forward by putting players in control of highly destructive vehicles piloted by intriguing drivers.
It comes as no surprise that pretty much every game of this genre comes with a fairly steep learning curve because there a lot of things in the game that you need to get the hang of such as individual character skills, coordinating with your team, mastering the basics such as dodging and aiming and a ton of other stuff. Heavy Metal Machines has an in-depth tutorial which occurs in a game that you play against a team of bots. This tutorial will teach you all the necessary basics of the game that you need to know and even afterwards you’ll still be able to play games against bots to practice your skills.
The gameplay of Heavy Metal Machines, as expected, is fast paced and full of thrill. There are two teams in each game and each team consists of five members where each person picks an individual driver for themselves. The objective of each game is to break into the enemy base and destroy their headquarters which is their main building.
The first team to destroy the opposition’s headquarters wins but of course it isn’t that simple as you’ll have to face a lot of difficulties as you attempt to get to the headquarters such as towers repelling your attacks and enemy players coming at you with full force. It’s worth pointing out that this is a team oriented game which means that only the teams that consist of players that are properly cooperating with each other come out on top.
An example of teamwork would be how one player picks up tank/support driver to hold the enemy in place while a fellow teammate playing a damage based character attempts to kill this locked down enemy.
Each driver in the game has a unique skill-set. The drivers are divided into the classes of tank, pusher, carry and support so players will be sure to find something that suits their play-style the most. There are some really fun abilities that you can use in the game and one of the best parts of the game is figuring out how you can combo them together in the most efficient manner possible.
Sponsors also play a huge part in this game. Basically each player is allowed to contract a sponsor for themselves and doing this will grant a special ability depending on the kind of sponsor you chose. There are a lot of options such as stealth, speed increase and many more.
From a graphical standpoint, Heavy Metal Machines is a pretty top tier looking game. MOBA games have always focused more on their gameplay rather than their visuals but this time around you’ll find that the visuals have been refined to quite an extensive degree. Vehicle designs are pretty spot on, the map has a lot of detail within it and of course the effects that occur during large scale fights are just a delight to watch.
Although special cash shop items are quite common in large scale online games, Heavy Metal Machines still doesn’t have a micro-transaction system setup that allows players to use real world money to acquire some rare in-game content but this is sure to come soon as the game’s page suggests.
Heavy Metal Machines is an incredible MOBA game that feels quite unique and offers a really enjoyable experience. Heavy Metal Machines Summary
