Warbanner
Deploy your forces strategically and defeat the enemy.
Build a powerful fortress and defend it to the last man.
Crush the campaign mode with your prowess and comprehension of the game.
History buffs with a gaming streak will certainly love Warbanner. This one puts you in command of war forces belonging to various empires in the 19th century. Take control of Red Coats, Prussian soldiers or Polish cavalry, among others, in this exciting real-time strategy MMO.
To join the game, you will need to pick which empire you’d want to take control of. Each empire has its own strategic capabilities and bonuses for the player. For instance, picking the British Empire will enable you to research military technologies faster. On the other hand, commanding the French army will mean faster training for infantry, so you’ll always have an edge in numbers. On the other hand, commanding Poles will give you powerful cavalry with which to decimate enemy forces.
Once you’ve picked a side, it’s time to begin!
You’ll have your first taste of battle right after you chose your Empire. This is a good chance for you to get to know the central part of the game’s mechanics. You’ll be guided as to how you can manage your forces in the midst of combat. This is just a basic look at battles, however; you’ll get more in-depth instruction as you proceed further into the game.
Aside from battling enemies, you’d also find yourself busy setting up your village and, ultimately, your estate. This is where you’ll be growing and collecting resources like Wood and Wheat, which you will need for several things like hiring military units for your army and building structures like the Academy, Dwelling Houses and Sawmills, among others.
You’d also have to fortify your village to protect it from enemy attacks. You can station your soldiers right outside the village itself, and you can be aware of when enemy forces are pressing on the offensive.
You can also take on the offensive yourself in Campaign mode. If you’re into Player vs Player, you can click on the Battle icon to initiate PvP combat. The server will automatically seek out a suitable opponent for you, an instance that will take a few seconds as the server goes through its database.
Battles in Warbanner are set-piece combat. You deploy your forces in strategic points in the map. The unique part of this game’s battles are that it attempts to simulate authentic military strategies and maneuvers during the 19th century. Your forces may be busy engaging a specific group of enemy soldiers, but your enemy could choose to surprise you with a flanking maneuver. You’d then have to counter that attack.
You can also heal your troops by using Bandage, so you can minimize casualties.
Killing enemy units will earn you Deployment Points. You can use this summon various forces into the battle. Plus, killing enemy officers will give you higher Points than defeating normal soldiers.
For those who are into historical battles, Warbanner represents a good opportunity for gamers to get into the shoes of their favorite empires in the 19th century. Give it a try on Facebook now! Warbanner Summary
