Strategy games come in various themes and settings like sci-fi, fantasy, medieval and space but, in spite of the massive amount of games that this genre consists of, a strategy game based on a zombie apocalypse setting is something that’s pretty much unheard of. Zombie Anarchy: War & Survival is a top quality game that blends together strategy gameplay with a very intriguing setting that’ll have you completely engrossed.
Zombie Anarchy: War & Survival might come with a completely unique setting but, like any other strategy game, it has a pretty steep learning curve that might make things a bit difficult for you if you haven’t had any prior experience with games of this genre. The gameplay of Zombie Anarchy: War & Survival is a mix of traditional strategy game elements with a bunch of zombie related gameplay features tossed into the mix and the end result is an immersive and engaging experience that you’ll definitely enjoy. Like most other strategy games, the gameplay of Zombie Anarchy: War & Survival can be divided into the two major aspects of base building and raiding. The base building side of the game is quite in-depth; you’ll be given your very own camp to build up and will be given a variety of different tools through which you can customize its layout according to your preferences.
The raiding aspect of the game is fairly similar to that of other strategy game but this time around you’ll be raiding zombie settlements instead of enemy kingdoms. Your forces will consist of a bunch of heroes and other fighters that you’ll train through your camp. Attacks are quite strategic and you’ll need to properly plan where you’ll deploy your units because positioning is crucial and a poorly deployed unit can end up dying before having any kind of impact on the battlefield. It’s especially important to properly utilize heroes during combat because they’re the only units who can switch targets during battle and you’ll need to use this to your advantage by directing them towards high priority targets that need to be eliminated as soon as possible.
As for how it looks, Zombie Anarchy: War & Survival is absolutely spectacular. The post-apocalyptic zombie theme has been pulled off in a near flawless manner and, all things considered, the game is a sight to behold. The zombie designs are genuinely creepy, the animations are fluid, the special effects are phenomenal and there are tons of animated elements in the game’s environment that make it quite lively.
The game also has a bunch of micro-transactions that you can go through to get your hands on in-currency that can then be used for a variety of different things.
