Summon and recruit powerful heroes to your team of extraordinary dungeoneers

With great power comes great responsibility. Being a Seeker who has the ability to summon heroes in Dungeon Boss, it’s your sacred duty to clean out all the dungeons that are scattered across the realm. With your trusty and well-equipped team of heroes, you’ll need to take on a slew of tough monsters and slay their leaders, the bosses of the dungeons. In Dungeon Boss, there is only 1 victor. Will you be able to succeed?
To ensure that you do, you’ll first need to get yourself a good team of heroes to go monster-hunting with in the dungeon bowels. There are 3 ways for you to summon new heroes and honestly, they are pretty costly. Not to mention, most of the time, you’ll not get a hero card which you can immediately recruit to your team. Instead, you get hero tokens that you’ll need to save up before exchanging for a hero card. Heroes that you already have can utilize their respective tokens to upgrade themselves by a star as well. Each hero can be upgraded up to 6 stars max.
Heroes can also be ascended provided that you have enough Evos. Evos are quite varied in this game and can be earned sometimes by summoning, but mainly by running dungeons. Ascended heroes will change their looks and get a new active ability which you can then use during combat. Of course, you can even improve your heroes’ respective abilities and level the heroes themselves up to increase their Power rating.
Ready to see some action? Well, you’ll need to head over to Campaign to do so. The campaign map is separated into chapters with each chapter containing a bunch of dungeons and 1 final boss dungeon. There are also 3 difficulty levels per chapter and 3 stars you can earn per dungeon. Each dungeon you go into will also cost you stamina. Like most games with stamina, you can regain them by simply waiting it out or you can buy more via the in-game store.
Before entering the dungeon though, you’ll need to consider the enemies you’ll encounter in that particular dungeon and bring heroes that can effectively counter those enemies. This is where the “elements” come in! Each hero/monster in this game has a specific element-orientation and there are 5 in total in Dungeon Boss. The elements work with or against each other much like a circle of predation. For instance, Fire heroes deal bonus damage against Nature heroes, but they suffer increased damage when going head-to-head with water heroes. This is why you really need to be careful when you choose the heroes you bring!
Keeping that in mind, once you’ve chosen which heroes to bring with you into the dungeon, you can get the killing started. The combat system in Dungeon Boss is pretty much turn-based. Heroes that are “Faster” will go first while “Slower” heroes will be the last to perform an action. Each hero has their own set of abilities that you can use. When triggered at the perfect moments during the dungeon raid, these abilities can be that extra breeze you need to tip the scales in your favour, allowing you to win the level.
Interestingly, the game allows you to summon a hero from your friends’ team to help you out in a dungeon once per day. The summoned hero can only perform 1 heroic action, but that action can be vital in securing a victory. This is why it’s pretty important to have a lot of friends in this game. So, be sure to invite your friends to join you!
Besides dungeons, there are also the Tower of Pwnage and PvP Raids that you can participate in, as well as quests to complete. Once you reached level 10, you can even set your heroes to patrol duty to deter any would-be dungeoneers from pillaging your dungeon - the less complicated version of a gameplay that’s somewhat similar to The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot.
To sum this all up, Dungeon Boss is definitely one of the most entertaining team-based MMORPG that I’ve played within this year. The dungeon-raiding gameplay the game provides is incredibly addictive. Add that to the huge number of heroes you can collect, Dungeon Boss can definitely offer a lot of fun entertainment for the MMO gamer. So, be sure to give it a try – You won’t regret it!
