Magerealm: Rise of Chaos is a very unique MMORPG. It is but one of the few that allows the main character to fight his own battles with the help of a support system, and it doesn’t even need to be a party made of up other players in the game. In other words, you have your own party to go around with you when you play this browser-based MMORPG.

There are two support characters that you can bring along in your quests and your battles. These are, namely, the Hero and the Angel.

The Angel is the very first companion you get when you enter the world of Magerealm. Your character itself is a celestial warrior that had been sent down to earth after being defeated by a demon at the start of the story. After the fall, you find yourself as a mortal warrior with a celestial companion – the Angel. You could say that, at the start of your journey as a Mage, you already have a loyal companion to follow you around.

This MMORPG’s system is designed in a way that each character complements each other. Angels are defensive in nature, providing you with timely buffs that can aid you in your battles. You don’t have to worry all the time about healing yourself and losing a turn that you could have otherwise used to attack and reduce the enemy’s HP. This is because healing is but one of the abilities that Angels can do in combat.

Other MMORPGs give you the additional burden of worrying about your HP while planning your attacks. In the event of a really powerful enemy, you can find your battle plan altered considerably because of an HP-draining attack. With the Angel by your Mage’s side, however, you can at least reduce the time you spend planning the timing of your healing and attacks to at least 20% of your battle time.

As you progress into the game, you’ll learn about the Tavern where you can recruit Heroes into your team. You can recruit as many Heroes as you like, but you can only take one with you at any given time.

Each Hero is a Warrior with its own class, and its own set of skills that can be used in battle. Unlike Angels, Heroes are offensive and can be used to attack enemies together with your own. Because each Hero has his or her own unique abilities that can aid you in battle, it’s best to choose ones that complement the skills of your character as a Mage.

With each carefully selected and well trained hero at your side, you never have to worry about the enemy being too strong or too powerful. The combined might of yourself and your Hero will be more than enough to take on that enemy and triumph against it.

Both Heroes and Angels can be leveled up so that they can be more valuable and helpful in battle.
