Features That We Would Like to see in Pokémon Go

Beoordeel dit Artikel Pokémon Go is no doubt one of the most innovative and addictive games to come out in recent times but we can’t help but think that it’s lacking in certain areas. In this article we’ll be talking about some features that we feel would take this game to a whole new level whenever they get implemented. MMO Square - Features That We Would Like to see in Pokémon Go

We’d like to state before going into any further detail that this is purely an opinionated list and your opinions might not necessarily be in-line with ours. There’s a good chance that you might agree with most of what we say but there’s also a chance that you’ll disagree. Whatever the case, we feel like this is worth pointing out.

1: The Ability to Battle Other Live Players

Taking a team of six Pokémon and then challenging other trainers to battle has no doubt been the pinnacle of almost every game in this franchise for many years now. However, surprisingly enough, this is a feature that seems to be completed absent from Pokémon Go. Of course this is probably because the game encourages exploration and collection more than it does actual fighting but still it’s something that many players would enjoy having and it’d surely make the game significantly more fun to play if it ever becomes implemented.

2: More In-depth Gyms

As it stands right now, the gyms in Pokémon Go don’t really serve much of a purpose other than just giving players a minor amount of in-game currency, experience and of course bragging rights. However, we feel that this is a system that could become this game’s main attraction if it were polished a little bit. For example, gyms could become places in which you can power-up your Pokémon, increase their CP (Combat Power) and even teach them new moves if necessary.

3: The Option to Evolve Pokémon through means other than Candies

Currently, the only way to evolve Pokémon in this game is by catching the same Pokémon over and over again until you have enough candies for an evolution. Although this system seems to be working fine up until now, there’s no doubting the fact that it’ll begin to feel like a grind after some time. A feature that’d allow players to evolve their Pokémon through battling would definitely add a lot of depth to the gameplay.

4: Actual Pokémon Centers

Pokémon Centers are basically places where you take your fainted/injured Pokémon in order to return them all to full health immediately but unfortunately they don’t exist in Pokémon Go as of right now. If these were ever added then they’d definitely make the gameplay way more convenient because players won’t need to keep spamming potions on their Pokémon until they’re full health anymore. This would also save a lot of storage space in-turn because players wouldn’t need to carry a ton of revives and potion.

All said and done, while Pokémon Go is great fun to play in its current state, there’s still always room for improvement and we feel that the aforementioned features would definitely improve the game by a tremendous amount.
