SMITE is a high quality MOBA game with a lot to offer. One of the biggest highlights of the game is its high quality character design. The characters in SMITE are referred to as gods and in this article we’ll be talking about the gods that we think are some of the most creatively designed.

Before going into any further detail regarding these gods, it is worth mentioning that this list has nothing to do with the actual balance of the game. The gods that we’ll be talking about aren’t necessarily the strongest in terms of actual gameplay so they’re just the ones that we think are the most creative when it comes to their design.

Loki

Loki is an assassin type character based off Norse mythology and is an absolute blast to play. He relies on manipulating and tricking his opponents through stealth and creating decoys and then absolutely wrecking them while they’re distracted by all of his trickery. His passive even allows him to do bonus damage when attacking enemies from behind which further cements his assassination oriented play-style.

Kali

Kali is also an assassin but she’s based off Hindu mythology. What makes Kali such a formidable foe and an extremely fun hero to play is the fact that she becomes literally immortal by utilizing her ultimate and during this brief period of immortality she can absolutely annihilate any opponent that comes in her path. She also has fairly decent mobility allowing her to maneuver around the battlefield in search of the target that her passive marks for bonus damage.

Thor

Thor is a Norse god whose ultimate alone makes him fun of the most fun gods that this game has to offer. His ultimate, Anvil of Dawn allows him to jump into the sky and then come crashing down into a target area, dealing an absurd amount of damage to all enemies in the radius while also stunning them for a short period of time. He’s also one of the few gods that actually rewards fighting against as many opponents as you can because his passive gives him bonus physics power for every nearby god.

Isis

Isis is an Egyptian goddess who isn’t necessarily the strongest fighter up front but she has the potential to buff her allies to an incredibly strong state. She gives here allies bonus mana and health regeneration, reduces the damage they take with her ultimate and she also has various different forms of crowd control that can stop the enemies in their tracks.

Anhur

Anhur is an Egyptian god whose title literally means that he’s built to kill enemies and he definitely does a pretty good job at it. He utilizes his spears and raw strength to deal insane amounts of damage to all his opponents and he can even spear an enemy against the wall to stun them while he wails on them. His ultimate also allows him to avoid all forms of crowd control for its duration.

All said and done, the aforementioned gods of SMITE are those that we think are an absolute delight to play. You should definitely give them a whirl whenever you get the chance to play SMITE.
