League of Legends is a game that’s kept me, and probably many others up, throughout entire nights. There’s just something about this game that makes people want to keep playing over and over again regardless if they’re winning or losing. The main thing I like so much about League of Legends is how it’s one of the most teamwork focused games out there today. While all MOBAs put a lot of focus on teamwork, this one emphasizes on it a lot more as compared to others. There are rarely instances in which a player is able to solo carry a team of players who isn’t willing to cooperate. In order to win in LoL, players must come together, coordinate their moves and take down the enemy systematically in order to achieve victory and this nature is something that simply doesn’t exist in many modern day games.

The creative character design is another reason so many people have fallen in love with this game and have not been able to stop playing it. League of Legends has some of the best designed characters, referred to as champions, out there. The champions in this game are excellent both in terms of their thematics and of course how their gameplay works. For example there’s Yasuo who is a high mobility carry that can dash through enemies quickly and eradicate his enemies before the opposition can react. Then there’s Nautilus, a pretty beefy tank who might not move that fast but he has the tools available to keep enemies in place long enough for his teammates to start wailing on them.

League of Legends is also one of the few MOBAs out there that puts some actual focus towards the plot. Each and every champion in the game comes with an excellently written backstory that explains why they wanted to participate in the League. There are also constant lore based events that engage the community in many fun activities and game modes.

Speaking of game modes, perhaps the key thing that sets League of Legends apart from others is how it has many featured game modes that are made available from time to time for the players to enjoy. There have been some many extremely wacky and fun game modes like the URF mode in which the cooldowns of abilities are only 20% of what they normally are which led to a lot of chaos and fun. There’s also the one for all mode in which all players get to pick the same champion and then try to take down another team that consists of the same champions. These modes help keep things fresh and also attract newcomers to play the game.

Overall, there are many reasons I, and millions of other players around the world, enjoy League of Legends so much which is why the things mentioned above barely even scratch the surface.
