There are a lot of promotions and hype surrounding this title starting in the second half of 2022. What little knowledge we have of the actual upcoming gameplay screams ‘PvP!’ based on its features. Ashes of Creation has a player-driven world where stories are based on the community’s actions, residences that can be raided and leveled to the ground by upstarts, and heavy guild-on-guild combat. If you’re the type who never lets your guard down no matter where you may be, you’ll find it easy to be at home here.

ARK 2

This is an enhanced reimagination of the monster-hunting, dino-riding RPG ARK: Survival Evolved. A strong focus on hunting mechanics and creature behavior is set to delight players in exploring unknown territory. There’s a lot to be immersed in the world of ARK 2 from towering reptiles to reactive environment and terrain elements. A component-based item craft system is used here to make sure that whatever you make can be unique to your player character only. It’s going to be one busy world out there.

Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen

Terminus is a world where deities and mortals live side-by-side, though not entirely in peace. Players will take on the role of once-powerful entities that will have to work his/her way to regain what was lost. This game is going to focus on party composition and skill loadout, and how well you do at team play is going to measure how well future content will turn out for you. Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen is going to be the swords and sorcery MMORPG that has been the genre standard for a long time.

Dune: Awakening

Ever wonder how Arrakis will be rendered in a massively multiplayer setting? Dune: Awakening might be the game you’re waiting for. Experience living in a desert world where danger and political intrigue are your daily fare. The features an extensive crafting system, some mechanics found in survival games, and a heavy dose of PvP in the name of securing power for one of the ruling families of the desert planet.

Soulframe

A decade’s worth of work on Warframe is giving Digital Extremes to confidence to pull off its first MMORPG. What you get is a dark fantasy vibe that is a cross of Eastern and Western elements. Much of the media covering this has said this before, but expect a Soulslike combat system that involves timing in everything from attacking, defending, and up to recovering HP. If the ‘soul’ in Soulframe isn’t a dead giveaway, then we’d never know. Valuing community feedback is one of the many highlights promised for this title.

Blue Protocol

Be the star of your epic anime adventure through Bandai Namco’s Blue Protocol. This is set out to be heavy on multiplayer content whether you’re fighting a server boss or taking out squads of hostile warriors. The title also hints at character customization that is extensive enough to make your own anime avatar just the way you’ve always wanted it. Blue Protocol’s anime-like visual effects will make you feel you’re living the adventure lifted right out of a manga title.
